To meet clinical cancer-care needs, from ROC year 98 (2009) the Health Promotion Administration began planning to add site-specific-factor data to the Taiwan Cancer Registry long-form database; for public-health reasons, smoking, betel-nut chewing, alcohol use, height and weight were also added and revised in the ROC-100 (2011) cancer-registry abstracting manual. 2. Beyond the cancers reported in 2007 (cervical, breast, colorectal, oral, lung, liver) and those added in 2008 (prostate, stomach, esophagus, bladder), 2009 added nasopharyngeal, major salivary gland, uterine corpus, ovarian, and hematologic cancers; 2010 expanded to the top 10 cancers in men and women (oral, colorectal, liver, lung, breast, cervical...).
